PAST

Born in the apartment projects of Brooklyn, New York, I was always curious about the world beyond our small two-bedroom apartment. Growing up, my life was a constant shuffle between New York and Texas, but no matter where I was, I loved meeting new people and learning about different cultures. That curiosity led me to join clubs focused on diversity and inclusion, where I got to hear stories from people with all kinds of backgrounds. I even ran track for a while, which taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of teamwork. During my freshman year and part of my sophomore year, I took on the challenge of dual enrollment, pushing myself with college-level courses while still in high school. Those experiences made me realize how connected our world really is and sparked my interest in how businesses can bridge gaps between different communities, countries, and cultures. It’s what inspired me to pursue a future in global business — because I believe the strongest connections are built across borders.

PRESENT

Currently, I am attending Miller Place High School and preparing to graduate in late June, always chasing opportunities that push me out of my comfort zone, expand my knowledge of the business world, and allow me to explore the incredible range of cultures around us. Serving as Chief Design Officer in Drip Check under Virtual Enterprise has given me a space to combine my interest in business with my creative side. I recently took part as an ensemble member in the school play Tuck Everlasting, completed two years of varsity track, and moved up to Vice President of our local SADD Club, where we encourage students to make wise, lasting life decisions. Along with building my leadership and public speaking skills, I’ve stayed active in clubs that celebrate diversity and inclusion, keeping me grounded in the values that have always mattered to me. Every day, I aim to grow into someone who can link communities and bring about meaningful, global change by using my understanding of business as a tool.

After high school, I plan to start at a community college for a year or two to stay close to home, save money, and take time to explore my options. From there, I hope to transfer into a dual degree program focusing on international business and marketing, while also leaving space to explore interests in law or chemical engineering. One of my biggest goals is to study abroad as much as possible, experiencing new cultures firsthand and building connections with people from all over the world. I’ve always believed the best way to understand the world is by stepping out into it. Through it all, I plan to live by my personal values — upholding my most vital codes, enjoying my freedom, letting curiosity guide me, and embracing every kind of change that comes my way. No matter where life takes me, those things will always stay at the heart of who I am.

In my position as Chief Design Officer at Drip Check, I am in charge of incorporating visual elements into each project and presentation to make sure our brand stands out in the crowded market of other high school VE businesses as well as the resale market overall. Over the course of the first few days, which required developing Drip Check's general theme and style, I discovered how crucial each department was, as well as how crucial graphic design was to attracting and retaining clients.  In order to keep our designs current and new, I continuously explored luxury branding and fashion trends. I also worked closely with especially the marketing and sales teams to match our visual identity with our business objectives. For competitions, especially the trade show, I was tasked with overseeing if each department was working along with the guidelines & general image of the company. Being in this role has challenged me to be creative and meticulous, yet it has provided me with invaluable experience in fusing business strategy with creativity.
